Congratulations on the purchase of your brand new CSC brand spy camera.
Spy cameras can get a bit confusing but luckily CSC has provided us with simple and effective setup videos on their Youtube page, we've linked these above.
Additionally, we'd like to cover some basics ourselves to make sure you aren't affected by things like random disconnects, memory card formatting, and whether motion or continuous recording is right for you.
1. Preventing Random Disconnects - This one is a rather easy fix as most customers may not realize but one of the main reasons for random disconnects is the location of the camera in relation to your wireless router. Ideally, you want to have your router within 15 feet of the camera to ensure the camera has a consistent connection.
2. Formatting Your Memory Card - One thing to do before you start recording is format your memory card, the reason you want to do this is to make the card ready to receive video otherwise you may end up with corrupted video files. To format the memory just follow these steps.
- Insert the SD Card into your computer
- Head into your Settings > Device Care.
- Select Storage.
- Tap on Advanced.
- Under Portable storage select SD Card.
- Tap on Format.
- Read through the pop-up message then select Format SD Card.
